Carson's American Bistro Brings Eclectic Eats to Ann Arbor Foodies

By Elisha Neubauer

"Carson's American Bistro is an eclectic American restaurant featuring a wide array of America's favorite foods and drinks," explains Scott Behler, General Manager. "We boast a full bar with an extensive wine and beer list, and a great selection of specialty cocktails."

In 2015, Carson's underwent a massive overhaul, launching a full-scale remodel of the premises. "We now feature a large copper top bar, and cocktail area with multiple televisions and a gas fireplace," Behler details. "Our patio area is one of the best in Ann Arbor with 36 seats, and a gorgeous trellis adorned with flowers and a large Wisteria." In addition to the stunning patio area, Carson's offers a spacious dining room and a private dining area capable of holding up to 30 guests comfortably. "We accept reservations for large or small groups, and walk ins are always accepted," says Behler.

Just like with the renovations, when it comes to the menu, Carson's spares no expense. High quality is exactly what they serve, ensuring every meal is the very best it can be, no exceptions. "We make every item in-house, from scratch, using as many fresh Michigan products that are available to us," states Behler.

"Since we are a 'scratch' kitchen, we are able to accommodate most dietary and allergen requests and our Head Chef, Alex Wannemacher, excels way above the average with his culinary prowess." On the menu, you'll find such choices as Prime Rib, USDA Angus steaks, chicken, pork, fish, seafood and a variety of fresh salads, sandwiches and entrees?all made with the freshest, finest ingredients available.

As part of the Mainstreet Ventures family, Carson's receives deliveries three times a week from the top seafood provider in the country, M.F. Foley's of Boston. As Behler explains, "There isn't a fresher seafood product available anywhere in the Midwest."

To add to the American ambiance and menu selection, they followed suit with the décor. Rustic American artwork and bronze work, adds to the feel exuding from the food. "It is an ideal location for business meetings, holiday parties and special events," says Behler.
