Behind Every Cappuccino Man is a Latte Lady

By Jake Levin

For over 25 years, Elliott and Sarah Lewkow have taken pride in their high-quality product, hand-picked baristas and excellent customer service.

Elliott is the CEO and founder of the enterprise, Sarah is the managing partner and General Manager.

The craft they speak so highly of is their armada of Cappuccino Man carts, hand-built by local craftsmen from the Livonia, Mich. area using only reclaimed wood and other recycled materials. With a full espresso bar menu, Cappuccino Man has something for everyone. The satisfaction is rewarding for not only the customers, but for the Lewkows themselves, who enjoy the never-ending parade of smiles on their customers' faces.

"The most rewarding part of our job is making people smile and impressing guests with our latte art skills," Elliott Lewkow said. "Most of our guests have never seen a professional barista pour a perfect heart or tulip in person. We hear the phrase 'this is probably the best latte I have ever had in my life' on a daily basis, so we must be doing something right."

Traditional espresso drinks on the menu include cappuccinos, lattes, Americanos, flat whites, teas and countless other coffee creations. Non-dairy products are available upon request, such as drinks made using almond or soy milk. Fruit smoothies and iced coffees, including cold brew, are also on the menu.

The signature drinks and Cappuccino Man, according to the Lewkow's, include the Honey Lavender Latte, Snickers Latte, Café Mocha and Dirty Chai Tea Latte.

All baristas at the carts are friendly, professional and engage with customers. The hand-picked employees are happy to answer questions and assist guests with their drink selections if they aren't familiar with the specialty coffee drinks.

"All of our baristas are trained latte artists and have a strong background in the 'third-wave coffee' industry," Elliott Lewkow said.

Cappuccino Man caters all kinds of events, ranging from corporate affairs to weddings. The staff can use custom stencils and cocoa powder to dust a corporate logo or the initials of the bride and groom on top of the drinks they serve.

"Cappuccino Man brings an extra special touch of class," the Lewkows agree.
